Lone Star Emergency Group and The Texas Boys Convert Tennessee Colony Fire Department Tanker

By Chase Fullington

As another week rolls by, Lone Star Emergency Group is excited to introduce one more key service team. This group of Texas Boys are out of Wilmer, and are led by service manager Brandon Irby. This elite group has had nothing short of a busy start to the year, as they have recently completed a full conversion on a 3,500-gallon steel tanker for the Tennessee Colony Fire Department.

When the Tennessee Colony FD brought the tanker to the Texas Boys, it was rusted out. After inspecting the original issue thoroughly, the Boys were able to complete additional upgrades, which got the tanker back in action and better than ever.

Some of the work included a full conversion of the rusted steel tanker to a new 3,500-gallon poly tank, a full rebuild manifold, two side sprayers, joystick-controlled monitor, and a remount on all warning lights. This task was completed by a talented group of Texas Boys, which included Ray Langston, Kevin Hughes, Jonathan Miller, and Preston Smith.

We are thrilled to have completed this project for the Tennessee Colony Fire Department and look forward to working with them in the future!
